Inspired off of the film Dune (2021), Prophecy Magazine showcases the journey from boyhood to feared leader through high class fashion. Walk in the shoes of Paul Atreides and submerge yourself in the couture fashion of the year 10,191.
The Nitty Gritty Stuff.
Costume design:
Issue 10191 of Prophecy is filled with intricate clothing details, making the editorial completely distinct to any other. Taking inspiration from the Dune universe, such as the infamous “still suit”, I built couture style clothing that supported the narrative within the editorial magazine.
Photography:
I photographed and directed models within one hour studio sessions, experimenting with multiple iterations of the specific concept. Goals included creating lighting that would ignite the idea of high sun in a dry desert environment.
Iterations:
Further development of set design and photography to achieve desired outcomes. Main goals were to achieve unison in visuals across the developing narrative within the editorial. Final outcomes include a darkened, backlit background to add more emphasis to clothing details and unify diverse outcomes.

I handcrafted and photographed the final editorial magazine.
